Cancellations and refunds

What is your cancellation policy?

Currently, we don’t ask a deposit yet, so when cancelling a tour, you don’t have to pay anything. If you wish to cancel your tour with us, please do make sure to let us know as soon as possible.
In the near future, when we have a PayPal membership and a bank account, our rules and regulations regarding deposits and refunds will change. Please, check our terms & conditions for more information.

Deposits, refunds and cancellations?

Currently, you are only able to pay in cash for your tour. Payments are all made at the start of your tour. Therefore, no deposits can be made. What happens when weather conditions are bad?

When weather conditions are bad, we try to adjust our tours as best we can. Butterfly and bird watching tours may be adjusted or rescheduled, when weather conditions are bad.
Our bicycles are suitable for most weather conditions. However, bicycle tours may be adjusted or rescheduled, depending on road conditions.

Payments and deposits

Is tipping included in your price?

This varies from tour to tour. When your tour includes a visits to one of the local projects, workshops or communities, tipping is almost always included in the price. At Mas por Menos, we feel it’s important to ensure that your visit has a lasting effect on our local communities. Tipping or making a donation to social projects or communities is our way of making sure that everyone benefit from Nicaragua’s growing tourist industry in equal amounts. Can I pay with a Credit Card?

Currently we do not accept Credit Card payments.
In the future, we hope to have a PayPal membership and/or a bank account for online payments.

How can I pay for a tour?

Currently, you can only pay us cash before the start of the tour. We only accept American dollars. We can’t accept local money (Nicaraguan Cordoba)

Is there anything I need to bring?

What you need to bring, may vary from tour to tour. It’s always a good idea to take your own bottle of water. Please, feel free to contact us with any further questions on what to take.

How long do your tours take?

This varies from tour to tour. We offer half or full day tours, as well as tours of 2 or more days. Please, feel free to contact us for further information.

How large are your groups?

Our group sizes may vary from tour to tour. In the past, we have mostly organized tours for individuals, small groups and medium size groups. We can, however, attend to big groups too. Feel free to contact us with all your questions about group sizes.

Where do you tours leave from?

Most of our tours leave right from your accommodation or from a pre-determined meeting point. When you book a bicycle tour with us and you’re staying in Masaya, the bicycle tour will leave from our home office.

I want to book a tour with a big group, is that possible?

Yes, we organize tours for big groups as well as for smaller groups or individuals. Please let us know in advance, in case we need to adjust the tour to the group size.

How far in advance do I have to book a tour?

When you wish to book a tour with us, please be sure to let us know as soon as possible. Last minute bookings are accepted as well. But since we organize personalized tours, ideally we would like to start designing your tour well in advance. This way we can meet your needs and wishes best we can.

Are helmets & bicycles provided when going on a cycling tour?

Yes, helmets are provides. We also provide locks and a bicycle repair kit

Do you have to be fit to be able to do your tours?

No, you don’t have to be fit to go on one of our tours. We always make sure to adjust our tours to your personal needs, wishes and abilities.
Our bicycle tours, however, require a certain level of fitness. If you have any questions or doubts, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Do you operate throughout all of Nicaragua?

We operate throughout all of Nicaragua. Our home office is located in Masaya.

Are food and beverages included?

This varies from tour to tour. Food and beverages will be discussed when planning your tour with us. If you have a food allergy or a special diet that should be taken in account, please be sure to let us know in advance.

Are your tours suitable for people with disabilities?

Yes. We do our best to adjust all our tours to your personal needs as best as possible. Please be sure to contact us in advance and let us know about your special needs/disabilities. This will help us to take your personal needs in account as best we can.

Are your tours suitable for families with young children?

Yes. We provide tours for families. Our goal is to provide tours for all different kind of groups.
As you can see in our gallery, we have provided tours for young people, individuals, elderly and
children.Bicycles for children are available.

Who can book a tour with you?

Everybody is welcome to book a tour with us. In the past, we have organized tours for tourists, scientists, people interested in learning Spanish and people looking for volunteer work. Are you not sure whether we have a tour that suits your wishes? Simply contact us and tell us what you wish to see/do. We will design a suitable tour around your personal wishes.
